My Holiday cards arrived a couple days ago! And I'm thrilled with how they came out this year!

This makes me want to keep making cards. A Valentine set would be so much fun to design, or a general stationary set. Fffff I am such a sucker for cute stationary.


So since Thanksgiving, I have been working away on the first of a six issue comic series for ~dandelionstudios. Not sure how much I can say about it, but I'm very excited to be doing this series for them. It's been a lot of fun to draw so far, and I'm really liking the characters and story. Hopefully I will be able to post some page previews here in the near future.

Although I've been really enjoying working on this comic, my right hand started giving me problems this week. I got a wrist brace yesterday to wear at night, so hopefully that will help. I thought carpel tunnel was something that developed after years of excessive drawing, not days, or even hours. Thank you to those who commented on my last poll - your insights to using a brace have been really helpful. I'm thinking of getting a little wrap-around one I can wear while drawing. And I may have to put commissions on hold while I finish up this first issue. I just don't have the time or strength to work on anything other than this comic until it's finished.

...And when it is finished, I am going to pour all of the pages all over the floor and happily roll in them~ So far fifteen are complete, and I'm working on page sixteen and seventeen simultaneously right now. That puts me at the halfway mark to being done. I have to do one to two pages each day in order to finish on time, but I'm confident I will and that it'll look great.

And at least I have coco-cinnamon coffee to get me through my day.

Fall quarter finals are well underway here at SCAD, and soon I'll be packing up and moving back to sunny California for a long winter vacation. But I plan to do lots of lots of comics for ~dandelionstudios between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so the arting never really ends~ And after New Years, I'm going to France! Aaahhh, so excited... *__*;;;

So I've been meaning to plug this for a while, but my friend *actoratheart started up this really interesting blog about Online DMing (Dungeon Mastering?) at the start of Fall quarter for a web writing class. And it's AWESOME. If you've ever wondered about how the heck a dice-based role playing game could possibly be run online, *actoratheart has some wonderful insights for DMs, players, and role playing lovers alike, both on and off the internet. She talks about several different systems, her player's antics, and how to stay (somewhat) sane when you're running two games while playing in another, (I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE DOES IT, HONESTLY). It's not till this winter, but I AM SO EXCITED I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF. 8 weeks in beautiful Lacoste, France with my girls *ambiguityink, =xandrei, *Rynnay, and ~Jenken~ We're going to spend a week in Paris and go to Angoulême, (the largest international comics festival in the world!) and DRAW COMICS AND CONCEPTS AND DRIVE PLACES TO SEE NEAT ART FOR CLASS CREDIT ALL DAY LONG.
